VISALIA- Coming from New York’s big city vibe to Visalia’s hometown feel, our newest family medicine physician is excited to serve Tulare County and plant roots in the Central Valley.
Marion Hsueh, M.D. is now accepting new patients at Kaweah Health Medical Group (KHMG), an affiliate at Kaweah Health, at 5400 W. Hillsdale Ave., Visalia. Dr. Hsueh is KHMG’s eighth family medicine physician and is offering in-person visits and telehealth appointments.
“My goal is to get to know my patients, so I can individualize care for each patient,” Dr. Hsueh said.
As a family medicine physician, Dr. Hsueh will be providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages, adolescents and beyond. She has a special interest in women’s health and preventative care. “I’m here to provide any support that I can, whether that’s medical or emotional. My patients will be seeing a provider who deeply cares for them.”
Dr. Marion Hsueh also has a very special connection to Visalia that encouraged her nearly 3,000-mile journey. Her brother, Dr. William Hsueh, M.D., a gastroenterologist at Kaweah Health Medical Group, also cares for patients in the Central Valley.
“Even though I lived in a very exciting city in New York, I never felt a strong sense of community,” she said. “My brother always spoke about how the local community has supported him, how friendly the staff at Kaweah Health Medical Group has been to him, and said he felt at-home here. I couldn’t wait to be a part of that.”
Dr. Hsueh is a graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree and completed a master’s degree at Tufts University. From there, she went to medical school at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and received her training in Nassau University Medical Center.
As she cares for patients in the Central Valley, Dr. Hsueh is excited to work on her Spanish and truly call Tulare County home.
In her free time, Dr. Hsueh is very active and enjoys immersing herself in different cultures, trying new food, and practicing outdoor activities such as hiking — an activity she can’t wait to do more often at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.
KHMG is a multiple specialty partnership between Kaweah Health and Visalia Medical Clinic, the physician-owned medical group that has served the medical needs of the community for the over 80 years. KHMG operates the clinic, while physicians of Visalia Medical Clinic, provide patient care.
